We may finally have some answers on what happened between these two!!
via tasteofcountry.com Brantley spoke to CMT recently and explained that the follow-up to ‘Halfway to Heaven’ will have a lot of Kramer influence within it. ”The love songs are still on there. I didn’t change anything. It’s kinda like how tattoos are chapters of your life. And all my records are chapters of my life. They all tell stories, and obviously she’s a big part of the story.”
“‘I’m Gone’ is kind of a breakup song. But there were some goodbye situations in there and some hell-raisin’ situations,” Gilbert dishes. “There was a lot to write about.”
"I sing about the things that I don’t have conversations about,” he says. “That’s me giving as much as I can.”
Jana and Brantley were living together in Nashville. ”I moved back to Georgia, so I just flew back and forth to make the record. I’ll be in Nashville for a while now. Then I’ve got some time off. I had a wedding scheduled, and my schedule just opened up,” he says, smiling.
“I’ll tell you what. The girls from my hometown are so over me. It’s been cool to catch up, but I think I’m done with my exes. To be honest, I went out with flying colors on the majority of them.”
A new single will be out in OCTOBER!! It's titled ‘Bottoms Up.’ AND the album will be released in early 2014, with the decided title ‘Just as I Am.’

Yiiikes that's no way to talk about your friends song even if its his song you hate and not him!
via tasteofcountry.com - “I love Luke Bryan and he’s had some great songs, but this new song is the worst song I’ve ever heard. I know Luke, he’s a friend. ‘[That's] My Kinda Night’ is one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard. I see it being commercially successful in what is called country music these days, but I also feel like that the people deserve something better than that. Country fans and country listeners deserve to have something better than that, a song that really has something to say, something that makes you feel something. Good music makes you feel something.”
“When songs make me wanna throw up, it makes me ashamed to even be in the same genre as those songs."
”I was laying in my bed, and I knew that nominations were coming out, but I didn’t know what to expect or whatever. I didn’t have my alarm set to check on anything.”
“It’s mind-blowing to me, and just the things that can happen in a year, you know,” she explains. “I’ve been on some amazing tours and gotten to see a lot of the world. You know, radio’s been really great to me. I just feel very embraced by country, and I think that’s more than I could ask for.”
